The Inventor

The inventor of the Set Price Totalisator (SPT) is Grant Hall. He has an Honours Science Degree. He has also worked with computers for a number of years and has computer programming experience.

He was one of the most successful punters in South Australia for many years. He used a ratings system based on form and other factors to win against bookmakers and on the TAB. However, he hasn't had a bet for years and doesn't plan to do so because, wherever possible, he has been concentrating his efforts on the SPT.

With this background, he was ideally placed to invent the SPT and also to be instrumental in its implementation.
